Check this recipe, if you are pressed for time and want to prepare your favourite bisi bele bath on busy morning. Just the perfect goodness you want to pack for lunch!
1 1/2 cups of rice
1/2 cup of toor dal
2 cups of mixed vegetables (radish, carrot, peas and sweet potato)
1/2 teaspoon of turmeric
1 1/2 teaspoon of salt
1 tablespoon of Masala Tokri Sambar Powder
2 teaspoons of vaangi bath powder
Small piece of jaggery
1/2 medium onion
1 small cup of tamarind water made from extract of dried tamarind that has been soaked in warm water.
4 cups of water
A few curry leaves
Chopped coriander leaves
2 tablespoons ghee
2 teaspoons mustard seeds2 teaspoons methi seeds
1 inch piece of cinammon
Clean and chop all the vegetables listed in the ingredients along with the onion. You can choose to change the vegetables as per your taste and liking.
Add all the vegetables, curry leaves, coriander, onion, rice, toor dal, turmeric, salt, Masala Tokri Sambar Powder, vaangi bath powder, jaggery, tamarind water, water and pressure cook it for up to 4-5 whistles.
In a tadka pan, add mustard seeds, methi seeds, and cinnamon to the hot melted ghee. When they start to splutter, add it to the rice and mix well.
